CHF International is fostering economic growth through it's programs Asia by providing targeted job creation opportunities and a host of other services to ensure that benefits reach the most vulnerable communities.

India

In the Indian cities of Pune, Bangalore and Nagpur, up to half of residents live in rapidly expanding slums. The recently completed SCALE-UP program brought together community organizations, NGOs and local governments to improve the living conditions and future opportunities of slum residents. Building upon the successes of the SCALE-UP, CHF is working in India with the Caterpillar Foundation on solid waste managment, recycling and employment creation in urban communities.

Mongolia

CHF International’s work in Mongolia focuses on improving quality of life by supporting local entrepreneurship and facilitating employment opportunities for peri-urban and rural residents through business and cooperative development.

Pakistan

After the devastating floods in 2010, CHF is assisting with the post-flood recovery by providing durable shelters to flood-affected families.

Afghanistan

CHF programs in Afghanistan focused on providing much needed assistance to vulnerable households through improvements in shelter and livelihoods.

Indonesia

Since 2005 - 2010, CHF's programs in Indonesia focused on emergency response and long-term recovery for disaster-affected communties in Aceh, Java and Padang.
